SEED PLANT RELOCATION
Overview:
To dismantle and remove the clients redundant plant and equipment, and replace with a new line.
Problem:
With high product demands the client required an investment in a new plant, and replace the less functional older machinery in order to meet the productivity needs.
Solution:
GAME covered the supply of skilled labour, tools and equipment to dismantle and remove all the redundant equipment on the ‘green line’ in a safe and orderly manner. This work included the dismantling of the existing cleaner, cylinders, gravity table and elevators and installing the new Pectus machinery together with the ancillary equipment (i.e. elevators, conveyors, dust units, chutes etc.).
The steelwork, chutes, elevators and conveyors were then modified to suit the existing processing area, and GAME provided new exhaust ducting and chutes where necessary.
GAME also supplied and installed a 200 amp main feeder cable from the existing LV Board to a position under the platform. All the panels were sited in a row under and close to the equipment. The existing cables from the panel to the cleaner were re-used as they were of a ‘YY’ type and fitted with suitable plugs and sockets.
GAME provided site management, supervision & documentation as required under the CDM regulations 1994.
Result:
The project was completed on time, within budget and the client was achieving the required productivity within the specified time frame.
